Is there anything that can be done about people who park half of there vehicle in their front yard? I would think this is against the rules, are there any rules? It looks horrible, this is what I worried about with Hearthstone areas, is somebody out there to enforce anything? Any comments?

Just parking on their lawn for no reason??
I haven't done it here but in my previous house I've backed onto the lawn to unload/load heavy stuff (rocks, sand, tree pieces, etc.). I assume that's not what's going on here? I'm pretty sure there was something in the rulebook about storing vehicles on the lawn but I'm not sure if a temporary "park" falls under that or not.

I think they do it so they can back out of the driveway with ease. I don't know why they do it but it looks like trash & not to mention it's hard on the yard, especially when it's wet out. I just don't understand people these days, some just don't take care of anything.

In most neighborhoods with a covenant, not just Hearthstone neighborhoods, the rules are usually upheld by the neighbors and the HOA. I do agree it would look bad. I haven't noticed a problem with it myself, but I may not be in the same neighborhood as you either.

If it's damaging their lawn you can definitely do something about it. Per your protective covenants they're required to maintain their yard. Here's the fun part. You'll have to take them to court. You might as well make a list of every violation and do it all if it really bothers you. Parking on lawn, visible trash cans, etc.
I've learned to live with the few sloppy houses in my neighborhood. It's just not worth it to me. I know it perpetuates the problems. |
