Is anyone else having condensation issues on there ductwork with the Redmond house?

Can you elaborate a bit more about where you are getting condensation on the ductwork? That might help with some answers. I know there are a few HVAC members here...

Condensation may be the result of too much humidity. You can usually purchase an inexpensive gauge at Wal Mart to check. You should be below 60%.
If you own a newer Hearthstone home you're subject to the Energy Star "goodies." If you don't run your AC very much your air may not be circulating enough to keep humidity down. A lot of people do this to save money but they're better off running the AC. It can be adjusted to keep the fans on longer to move more air. Hearthstone is not known for calibrating their HVAC systems properly. My house was a wet mess when we moved in. We have to use a dehumidifier to keep the humidity below 60. Before adjustments were made to our HVAC the house was between 70 and 75% humidity which is very bad. |
